DDR5 SDRAM is the fifth-generation double data rate synchronous dynamic random-access memory standard, succeeding DDR4. Standardized by JEDEC in 2020, DDR5 offers higher bandwidth (up to 8400 MT/s and beyond), denser modules (up to 512 GB DIMMs), lower 1.1V operating voltage, and on-die error correction.
