NetherRealm Studios is an American video game developer founded in May 2010 and based in Chicago, Illinois, led by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon. Owned by Warner Bros. Games, the studio develops the Mortal Kombat and Injustice fighting-game franchises and was formed from the assets of Midway Games' Chicago studio following its 2009 bankruptcy.
