AMD takes on Nvidia with its Helios AI rack-scale system

AMD unveiled Helios, a rack-scale AI system designed to train and run large-scale AI models, competing with Nvidia's Vera Rubin. The system already has customers including Microsoft, OpenAI, Meta, and Anthropic, with Microsoft planning Azure expansion and Anthropic committing to deploy up to two gigawatts of GPUs via Helios.
