Another former Xbox studio is "independently owned, again" after Microsoft shut it down in 2024

Alpha Dog Games, shut down by Microsoft in 2024 alongside Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, has reformed as an independent studio. The studio's founder Shawn Woods updated his LinkedIn profile indicating independence in May 2025, two years after Microsoft's closure.
