Anthropic’s Claude Science bets on workflow, not a new model, to win over scientists

Anthropic launched Claude Science, an AI workbench for computational research that consolidates databases, pipelines, and tools into one environment. The product uses existing Claude models (including Opus 4.8) with no new model or special access, and builds on Anthropic's October 2025 Claude for Life Sciences release.
