The United Videogame Workers union (UVW-CWA) launched the Game Worker Hardship Fund to support laid-off workers across the US and Canada since January 2024. The fund offers up to $1,000 (Small Tier) or $5,000 (Major Expenses Tier), with an accompanying itch.io charity bundle providing additional support.
