The United Videogame Workers union (UVW-CWA) launched the Game Worker Hardship Fund to assist laid-off workers across the US and Canada since January 2024. The fund offers up to $1,000 (Small Tier) or $5,000 (Major Expenses Tier), funded by union membership dues. A 100%-proceeds itch.io charity bundle will also support the fund.
