Bungie announces new Marathon PvE mode, an experimental roguelite

Bungie is adding Vault Breaker, an experimental roguelite PvE mode to Marathon, launching July 21 as part of version 1.1.5. Players tackle progressively harder vaults solo, in duos, or trios, earning Vault Data to upgrade gear or purchase items from the Vault Breaker Armory. The mode runs through Aug. 4, with a full PvE mode planned for season 3.
