Nintendo will halt Switch 1 sales in Europe starting mid-February 2027 due to EU Right to Repair rules requiring user-replaceable batteries. The company will continue selling the console outside Europe and is redesigning Switch 2 and its controllers to meet the battery-replacement mandate.
