Eurogamer · 3 min read · tech
Nintendo will roll out Switch 2 revisions in Europe starting summer 2026 with user-replaceable batteries, mandated by EU Right to Repair and battery regulations. The Switch 2 console gets a 1% smaller battery and ~10g more weight; the Pro Controller sees a 16% battery reduction. Joy-Cons arrive this summer, the console in autumn, Pro Controller in winter, and legacy controllers in early 2027.
