OpenAI launched Patch the Planet, pairing security researchers with open-source projects to identify and patch vulnerabilities. In the first week, researchers working with 19 projects using GPT-5.5-Cyber and Codex Security discovered hundreds of bugs and 51 issues, with 19 already fixed.
