Playstack CEO pledges to be 'mindful' about growth after majority takeover

Playstack, publisher of Balatro and Abiotic Factor, sold an 84.5% stake to Integrated Media Company (IMC) for £125 million ($169 million). IMC, which owns Fandom and GameSpot, will back the publisher's growth while Playstack maintains its independent model and 85% hit ratio, with CEO Harvey Elliott pledging to keep the 70-person team focused and lean.
