Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami told Japanese comedian Hidetaka Kano that if viewers are satisfied merely watching a playthrough, the game wasn't good enough. Mikami said developers should make games players want to complete themselves even after watching others play. Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii reportedly agrees.
