Sony Interactive Entertainment cut 292 jobs at Bungie, affecting most of the Destiny team and some Marathon team members. The layoffs follow Bungie's closure of Destiny 2 development. Sony had acquired Bungie for $3.6 billion in 2022 and wrote down the purchase by $765 million in its 2025/26 financial year.
