Unions take legal action against Microsoft for allegedly mishandling Xbox layoffs

The Communications Workers of America (CWA) filed unfair labor practice charges against Microsoft on July 15, alleging the company failed to provide notice to or bargain with the union before laying off employees at Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, and other Xbox subsidiaries. CWA Canada also filed separate charges, claiming Microsoft unlawfully terminated staff without required notification.
