Update: Unity unveils Unity 7 roadmap with update path that won't break your build

Unity announced Unity 7, built on the same architecture as Unity 6, with zero-rebuild upgrades promised. The engine enters early beta in December 2026 and ships in early 2027, featuring new CLI and public APIs enabling artists and developers to validate assets and collaborate outside the editor.
